March of 2019 we introduced Drones as a way to gain access to otherwise inaccessible roofing. Often, a roof is inaccessible when it is too high, too steep, or too wet to safely access. Additionally, certain roofing materials, such as metal, or significant amounts of wear may inhibit an inspector from traversing the roof. We are now able to inspect chimney caps and ridgelines on the highest and steepest of roofs.
Thermal Imaging
Beginning January of 2018 as part of my on-going commitment to reliability for my Home Inspection clients, I am now offering a Thermal Imaging. This advanced technology gives me the ability to further investigate behind finished walls and ceilings if deemed necessary during Standard Home Inspection.
Additional Service - Complete exterior and internal imaging offered.
Pre-listing Home Inspection
If you're ready to sell your home and want to ensure the sale process will go smoothly and quickly, you may want to consider a pre-listing home inspection. A pre-listing inspection provides a written report as to the condition of the property. It could uncover any concerns that might compromise a sale.
Benefits:
Time - Selling agents are given time to help the seller decide what areas to work on to improve the home’s appeal.
Options - Sellers can choose who they want to perform the inspection and assist in providing details of equipment maintenance, supply dates of improvements and explanations for current conditions.
Flexibility - Sellers gain more time to make repairs and compare bids on work to be done, and can truly provide full disclosure to their potential buyers.
No surprises - Agents will have fewer issues to negotiate at the 11th hour, and buyers may even waive their inspection.
Stress relief - The inspection can remove any doubt the buyer might have regarding any initial concerns and may also reduce the stress associated with purchasing a home.

Radon Air Testing
In New England, the migration of radon up from the soil contributes the largest percent of radon found in the average home. Radon from a groundwater type water supply source, particularly a bedrock (artesian, drilled) well, contributes the next largest percentage of radon in the home.
The EPA has set an advisory "action level" of 4 pCi/L for radon gas in indoor air. While not a mandated health standard, this level is a guideline for people to use in assessing the seriousness of their exposure to radon. Studies show that exposure to radon gas over prolonged periods of time increases the risk of developing lung cancer.
Radon Air testing conducted by using the SunNuclear Model 1028 Continuous Radon Monitor. This CRM is intelligently designed and its patented electronic detection device for measuring radon gas has been used commercially since 1986. The Sun Nuclear Corporation, Model 1028 is US EPA verified, NEHA-NRPP listed and evaluated and approved by the NRSB for use in real estate transaction testing.
Septic System Evaluation
Mechanical Components – Utilizing the probe test procedure, Inspector will locate the "key" elements of the system (septic tank and leach fields) and determine if they are experiencing hydraulic distress.
System Evaluation – Inspector will measure scum and sludge layers to determine if pumping is needed along with checking for evidence of leakage into or out of tank.
Stress Testing – Inspector will examine the leaching area to observe any signs of an "overflow condition" or ability of leach area to accept waste water.
Leach Field – Inspector will uncover a sample area in Leach Field to inspect the soil conditions, drainage, seasonal water table.
Public Sewer Line Scope
A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line leading from the house at/near the foundation and connecting to the city.
