Chris performed the inspection on my (hopeful) new home in York Beach. Not only was he very responsive, and timely in getting the inspection scheduled. He was also extremely friendly, and helpful in answering my, admittedly sometimes quite ridiculous, questions during the inspection.
Upon review of the inspection report, I was amazed. I reviewed it with my parents who have purchased several homes in their lives, and we all agreed we had never seen something so detailed and thorough. It was truly worth every penny, and would highly recommend Chris to anyone who is in need of a home inspection.
Chris came highly recommend by my realtor and he did not disappoint. From the get go Chris was responsive, professional, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He answered all of questions and addressed all of my concerns. Accessing the home inspection report was super awesome, comprehensive and easy to navigate (So user friendly even my 87 years old father loved it and got a kick out of it). Truly the best of the best. We used Chris for two home inspections. He helped us understand the commitment we were getting ourselves into with the first house, which allowed us to make an informed decision about discontinuing the process. Three weeks later, we used him to inspect the second house we were under contract on, and we felt so good knowing he was going to take his time, be thorough, explain everything in terms we could understand, and give us a fair opinion on his findings. My wife and I met Chris (inspector) at property that we were looking at purchasing. He was already there and had even started inspection of exterior. He was cordial and informative. I followed him through house and he talked about what he was looking for in quality of building and craftsmanship of work done on home. He was very thorough in his inspection, even removing the electrical panel to look for post builder’s “add ons” that might not be up to code. He had some equipment with him to look behind walls (infrared scanner) for questionable abnormalities. He also talked to me about what could be done going forward to minimize exposure to elements (home was near beach) such as exterior drip zone from rain water on exterior siding. We had copy of his report via email within 24 hours. I would highly recommend this company for overall professionalism and promptness. Five 🌟

Chris picked up my first phone call and we had an appointment scheduled for less than 48 hours away. He was very informative throughout the process. The inspection was done Wednesday afternoon and the report was sent to me by 5:00AM the next morning. He was even quick to respond to any follow up questions I had after reviewing the report. I would highly recommend Chris.

Chris did an awesome job for us. He inspected 2 houses, the first house he caught a bunch of stuff we missed that would have cost us a bundle over time. He found a few minor details with the 2nd house but nothing that we couldn't workout. His reports are simple and to the point, easy for anyone to read. Very dependable, he shows up when he says he will and has the report to you when he promises it. Very easy to work with too, we were out of state and did it all via email. If we buy another house in Maine he will be our inspector.
Chris Ross is a superb home inspector who has done work for me in inspecting two different houses (one older, one newer). These inspections included tests for radon, private well water, and private septic systems. He did a perfectly detailed, thorough job and communicated clearly with me during the entire process -- not merely in pointing out problems and potential problems over time, but in giving very valuable tips in terms of home maintenance and preservation. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I would not think of using anyone else as a home inspector in the future. He is also ideal in terms of prompt communication and follow through.

Chris Ross did an inspection for us, my husband and me, back in February. In my review I gave him five stars rating on everything that was asked. Also, in my written review/recommendation: I stated that it is important, especially for those new to the home buying process, to have someone that is licensed or certified. I hired Chris, on my own, through the ASHI site not using my realtors suggested inspector. Chris was there for us and not the realtors. He suggested that we meet him there prior to the realtors getting there so he could review the building and speak with us. He worked well with the other team that was inspecting the septic system, and answered most of my questions---until the realtors showed up. I thought he inspected thoroughly and gave sound recommendations. In addition, I would like to add that he did the inspection after a blizzard (very professional) and he answered any questions that we had post inspection. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an inspector.
